Born at Sea.
Built for the Ocean.

Ocean Integrity Group is a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2017 — combining field operations, patented technology, and verified accountability to protect watersheds and end plastic pollution.

From the Helm to Global Movement

Ocean Integrity Group was founded in 2017 by a veteran mariner who spent decades navigating the world's oceans and witnessed firsthand the accelerating crisis of ocean plastic — from the floating debris fields of the Pacific to plastic-choked river deltas in Southeast Asia.

What began as a grassroots initiative to remove plastic from rivers and coastal zones quickly outgrew its origins. By 2019, OIG had developed patented cleanup systems and deployed operations across 12 countries. By 2022, a blockchain-based verification platform transformed how impact was measured and reported — eliminating greenwashing and establishing OIG as the global standard for transparent plastic recovery.

Today, OIG operates through a global network of partners, collectors, and specialists across 47 countries — combining innovation, education, and community action to build a transparent circular economy for the future of ocean conservation.
